MS. Wood 14 Dx.; Coll. of Arms MS. E. 18); Coll. of Arms MS. R. 37 bought by him 1570 'at the howse of Mr Smarte latte Sword bearer of London'; part of the contents were collected by him; d. unmarried 24 September 1597 in Philpot Lane, London; burd St Alphege's, London Wall (M.I.). On his death the College bought 'at their great charges' the books, rolls and records then in his custody together with those of Clarenceux Cooke.
