Christian Haber of Saltzberg in the commune Homburg in Hesten-Castel md. Anna Gertraud, d/o Michael Werner of Rheinfels on Rhine on 21 Dec 1711 (West Camp Luth. Chbk.). The village of origin was 6431 Salzburg (24 km. n.e. of Alsfeld), records in the registers of 6431 Raboldshausen (3 km. further n.e.; Chbks. begin 1692). The probate grandfather of the emigrants was Engelhard Habber who d. in 1699, aged 81 yrs. and nearly 5 months (HJ). The bpt. of the emigrant Christian Haber took place prior to 1692, but he probably was the s/o Didymus Haber, as Ditmut Haber, his wife, and 6 ch. were on Capt. Jno. Untanks ship in Holland in 1709 in the 5th party of Palatines (Rotterdam Lists). The ch. of Didymus Habber were:

Christian Haber made his initial appearance on the Hunter Lists 4 July 1710 with 3 pers. over 10 yrs.; the entry for 24 Dec 1711 read Christian Haber and Sisters. His sister Elizabeth had a special notaion correcting an error in bookkeeping throughout 1712. Christian Haber of Queensbury was a soldier in 1711 (Palatine Volunteers To Canada). Christiaen Haver was nat. 17 Jan 1715/16 (Albany Nats.). Ensign Christeian Haber was an officer in ye Palatin villages in the Albany Co. Militia in ye Mannor of Livingston in 1733 (Report of the State Historian, Vol. I, p. 573). Christian Haver was on tax rolls in the Rhinebeck region 1739/40 to 1741/42 (Dutchess Co. Tax Lists). He was a freeholder in 1763 at East Camp (Albany Co. Freeholders). Administration Papers in the estate of Christian Haver and the Manor of Livingston were issued 5 June 1775 (Genealogical Data from Administration Papers, p. 146). The children of Christian1 Haber and Anna Gertraud were:

1) Peter2, md. 14 April 1735 Anna Maria Minckeler (Catskill Ref. Chbk.). Papers in the estate of Peter Hawver (Haver?) were issued 1 April 1779 (Genealogical Data from Administration Papers, p. 147)

2) Friederich2, called s/o Christian Haber of Queenbury in the Camp in Albany Co. when he ran away from his father 17 July 1732, aged 16 yrs. (New York Gazette, 7 Aug 1732). He was on Rhinebeck tax rolls 1743/44 - June 1748, and Northeast rolls Feb 1753 to Feb 1759, when his widow was listed (Dutchess Co. Tax Lists). F Haber was indicted for forceable entry in 1750, and noted again at Rhinebeck in 1755/56 (dutchess Co. Ancient Docs. #569, 764 and 3570). He md. Catharina Leick (HJ).

3) Anna Chatharina2 (HJ), md. Orgel Heiser (HJ). She d. 2 Dec 1804, aged 86 years. and 7 months (Germantown Ref. Chbk.).
4) Margaretha2 (HJ), md. Arie Buys (HJ).
5) Christina2, b. 12 Jan 1721 at Camp - sp.: Michel Werner and Christina Moor (N.Y. City Luth. Chbk.). She md. Georg Peter Heiser (HJ).
6) Magdalena2, b. 15 Oct 1722 and bpt. at Camp Queensberry - sp.: Peter Phillipp and wife Magdalena (N.Y. City Luth. Chbk.).
7) Christian2, b. 29 Sept 1726 (and bpt.? - HJ) at Jacob Schumachers at Kamp - sp.: Christian Dietericks and wife Anna Marie (N.Y. City Luth. Chb.). He md. Engel Reuter or Van De Werken 16 Feb 1748 (Germantown Ref Chbk.).
