Elizabeth four children whent to New England in 1639 and settled in Sudbury, wherre they consistently used the name Loker. The John Parmiter who witnessed Henry's will was identical with the John Parmenter who also settled in Sudbury, Massachusetts, in 1639. For further details on him, see the Register, 68 [1914]:271-272.
In 1639 John Parmenter, with his family, and also the widow and children of Henrie Loker emigrated to New England settling in Sudbury, MA
If Elizabeth is the daughter of Jacob and Susan then she was bapt 27 Feb 1586/57 and the birthdate I have for her is wrong. NEH&GR VOL CXLII, July 1988

!NOTES:
1-Mother's record shows a deathdate as 12 May 1764.
2- Merged Elizabeth (2583) into Elizabeth Laker (2582).The surname Laker could
be Loker. I am going to merge Elizabeth Laker into Elizabeth French. The
death date was before the last two childen were born. There were no children
listed for the two other marriages.
3- Merged Elizabeth (2583) into this file. Her birthdate was estimated abt 1578
by the computer.
4- December 1995: We had a complete birthdate that would put her christening
date unto Feb 1587.
{geni:about_me} Henry Loker was a glover. After his death, his widow with her sons, Henry and John and her daughters Bridget and Ann, came to the Bay Colony, settling in Sudbury in 1639, where her son Henry was a Proprietor.

* Belnap Records at one time listed Elizabeth's parents to be Robert French and Susan Riddlesdale. I believe this is confused with Elizabeth's mother-in-law Lucy Riddlesdale who married a Robert French. (http://www.shaweb.net/Wheeler/terry/9478.htm)
* Proof that Elizabeth French did not marry Henry Loker of Bures St. Mary, Essex, England. Article by Douglas Richardson published in the NEHGR, Vol. 43, Oct 1989. According to Douglas Richardson’s article in the NEHGR, December 1989, Henry Riddlesdale, alias Loker, married Elizabeth (not French). There is no evidence that Elizabeth, wife of Henry Loker, was born a French.(http://aleph0.clarku.edu/~djoyce/gen/scituate/RR01/RR01_014.htm#P15215)

Came to America as widow with 4 children.
--------------------
There is contention that her last name may not have been French but some records do show that however her parents are not known. After the death of her husband Henry Loker in England the Widow Elizabeth and her children became participants in what was then known as "The Great Migration", (1620-1643) which consisted of Puritans fleeing persecution in England. They settled in the community of Sudbury. (wab)
