Loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Dorothy Fackrell Bickmore left this earthy realm for a higher existence on 18 July 2017 in the peace and comfort of her home in Springville, Utah.
She was born to Redick H. and Roka Bunker Fackrell on 19 October 1932 in Sutherland, Utah as one of six children. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and fulfilled many callings. Her ancestors were the ones who began and settled Santa Clara, Utah and Bunkerville, Nevada.
Dorothy Fackrell met the love of her life, Darrell Bickmore and they were married on the 9th of June 1953 in the Manti Temple in Manti, Utah, so that they may spend eternity together. Together Dorothy and Darrell had three handsome sons and one beautiful daughter.
Dorothy was not one to shirk hard work, as it brought her great pleasure and a humble sense of accomplishment. Growing up and as a mother and wife, she was always on the move. She loved working in her gardens, helping out on the farm, riding and caring for the horses; a love she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She created beautiful crocheted works of art. A wonderful cook, she even grew and canned their own food. She was always there, eager and willing to help anyone in need.
She loved her children and their families with all her heart. She was quick with a warm smile, a sparkle in her eyes and took great pleasure in even the smallest things life brought to her. Her laughter was contagious and she was appreciative of everyone and everything she came in contact with. Dorothy had love to spare. She was rich with joy of the fullness of her family and surroundings. She made certain to create a home as a place of comfort beyond comparison, where even a stranger felt welcome.
Dorothy became the mother of four children, to whom she passed on the skills and knowledge of living a happy and fruitful life. She taught her children to be good and loving parents, as well as caring for all God's creatures, big and small.
On the 18th of July, 2017, Dorothy peacefully left behind her husband, her children, grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. She will be greeted in Heaven into the loving arms of her parents, her brother, Sterling B. Fackrell, her sister Wilma Fackrell Koyle, and one tiny great grandson, Weston Blue Baker.
