This is taken from the information sent in and included in the Schroeder Family History book. Another news clipping that was included was as follows: HE'S JUST A LITTLE MAN Conrad Schroeder of the Moose Jaw district appeared in magistrate's court Monday charges with proceeding from a stop sign before it was safe to do so and said he did not know what to plead. He said the other car in the accident may have been coming a little too fast or he,himself, may have proceeded a little too slowly. After being asked whether he wanted a week's remand before entering a plea, Mr. Schroeder said "no", and then pleaded guilty. Acting Magistrate Court Judge W. J. Gardner suggested setting the case over a week before plea. "There might be a friendly magistrate on the bench then," he said. "I'm just a little fellow. I don't have friends that high up," came the reply. The accused was fined $25. Court was told damage in the accident at Ross and Main St. was around $1000."
