She was the daughter of Matthew Hartwell and Martha Elizabeth {Allen} Francis, and was born near Collins, Missouri, June 21, 1890. She lived her entire life in St.Clair and Cedar Counties. On October 17, 1908, she was married to Jesse Alvin Culbertson, and they were parents of 11 children, three of whom died in infancy. All of her life was devoted to family and friends. She was a member of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Alvin Culbertson, November 2, 1954. Also preceding her in death were a brother, Wilbert Thomas Francis, and two sisters, Nancy Anna Carriker and Martha Ellen Jones. Survivors include two daughters, Beulah Yockey, ElDorado Springs, Missouri, and Mary Lucille Harbert, Springfield, Missouri, six sons; Orville, Carl, Jesse Ray and Owen, ElDorado Springs, Missouri, Cecil of Carlotta, California, and Floyd of Springfield, Missouri. 20 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. All her children spent the Christmas Holidays with her at her home. Memorial services were largely attended Sunday January 10, at 2p.m., at the First Christian Church, Eld. Fred Blystone officiating. Selections were "Sweet Bye and Bye" and "Beyond the Sunset", sung by LaDonna and Debra Coleman, Sharon Smythia, Accompanist. Burial was in Clintonville Cemetery, ElDorado Springs,Missouri, under direction of Janssens. Pallbearers were for Forrest McCowan, Lynn McCowan,
