GLERUM, Mrs. Marguerite, Kalamazoo
Went to be with the Lord Wednesday evening, September 8, 2004. Marguerite was born in Kalamazoo, January 23, 1918, the daughter of Thomas and Gertrude (Sootsma) Nap. She was a member of Third Reformed Church, and formerly of North Park Reformed Church. She was a 1935 graduate of KCH, loved her family and enjoyed gardening and camping. On May 1, 1940, she married Marinus Glerum, who preceded her in death on September 13, 1997. She was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Glerum on January 30, 2004; and her brother, Aapko Nap. Surviving are three children and their spouses, Sharilyn and Rev. James Scholten of Holland, Thomas and Patricia Glerum of Kalamazoo, Kenneth and Deborah Glerum of Portage; eight grandchildren, Ruthann (Paul) Wiebenga, Janna (Brian) Dantuma, James S. (Jennifer) Scholten, Pamela (Mark) Van Oosten, Jill (Matt) Ritchie, Jeffrey (Eryn) Glerum, Daniel (Kristen) Glerum and Chad (Tanya) Glerum; seventeen great-grandchildren; her brother, Richard (Gertrude) Nap of Parchment; brother-in-law, Adrian (Lu) Glerum of Kalamazoo; sister-in-law, Clara Adler of Portage.
