1871 aged 1 day, living at Upper Gravenhurst with his parents, John and Esther Parish, aunt Dorcas Parish, and siblings.

1881 aged 10, living at Upper Gravenhurst with parents, John and Esther Parish, and siblings.

1891 aged 20, living at Hill Cottage, Lower Gravenhurst with parents, John and Esther Parrish, and two siblings.

1901 aged 30, livng at Chestnut Tree House, Upper Gravenhurst with his wife Sarah 28, married cousin Arthur Parrish 29 and sister in law Mary Parrish 24.

1911 aged 40, living in a six roomed house at Gravenhurst, Ampthill with his wife of 16 years, Sarah E 38. One child born and deceased.

David was born in 1871 in Gravenhurst- we may presume that he too was baptised at the wesleyan chapel either in Luton or Gravenhurst (where a chapel had been built in 1868), although no record has been found'

Like his father and his brothers Reuben and Thomas' he started his working life as a gardener at Wrest Park, but by 1901 he had set up as a market gardener.

on 7 March 1894 he married Eliza sarah Jackson (b' 1872)' daughter of Peter Jackson, grocer and baker, and his wife Rebecca 'who lived at the shop next to the church. Eliza had taken up dressmaking to make money'

David and Eliza lived at chestnut Tree House in Gravenhurst They had had one child but it died in infancy (vide1911 census).

David died in 1927.We don't know when Eliza sarah died' (NB An Eliza Parrish married walter J lmpey in Luton in the summer of 1928' She died in 1947)
