The will of Margery Argentein, dated 26 April 1427, requests that she be buried in the church of the nuns of the house of Elstow, county Bedford, leaves bequests to Thomas Hervey if he reaches the age of 21 years, and if not and he has no heirs, the bequests are to go to her daughter Joan, or her daughter Joan's son John.
An Inquisition Post Mortem regarding Margery widow of William Argentein, Knight, says she died on 28 September 1427, holding in dower property that was from the inheritance of Elizabeth and Joan, the sisters and heirs of John son of John son of her husband William. These properties are the dower that was assigned to Margery widow of William Argentein, Knight, on 20 October 1422. The Inquisition Post Mortem of William Argentein, Knight, in 1419, says he was survived by his widow, Margery, and his daughter-in-law, Margery, the daughter of Wiliam Calthorp, knight, and widow of his son John Argentein.
Margery Calthorp and John Argentein had a daughter Joan born on 24 June 1413, who married by 4 November 1427, Robert Alyngton and died on 15 May 1429 without surviving children as her sister Elizabeth, wife of William Alyngton, junior, was her heir.[8] Elizabeth Argentein was born on 11 May 1411. Margery formerly the wife of John Argenten is mentioned in the will of her son-in-law, William Alington in 1459, so she died sometime after that.
