Isaac, John, Elizabeth & Hester 1724 Will dated 18 Mar 1724: gives property in occupation of John Day, and land in Meopham in his own occupation to his brothers Thomas & Reuben as trustees, to sell in order to pay debts; to wife Elizabeth for life (as long as she stays unmarried), the property where he lives, lately purchased of Mr Chapman, at Nepikar, as well as property in occupation of Robert Baldwyn [who married his cousin, Margaret Chilman?] and land in his own occupation purchased from Thomas Lambard Esq near Wrotham Hoath, one other property in occupation of Nicholas Colgate and land in his own occupation in Nepikar Burrough near Hognor (parish of Wrotham) and another property in or near Wrotham Towne in occupation of Jane Tomlyn, widow. After the death or remarriage of Elizabeth, the Chapman property is to go to his eldest son, Isaac, less 2 pieces of land to go to daughter Elizabeth & 2 pieces of land to daughter Esther; the Colegate property etc and the Jane Tomlyn property to his youngest son, John. £100 each to Elizabeth and Esther after the death of his wife, to be realised from the sale of stock by his trustees, and put out at interest (to be paid regularly towards their education) until the death of Elizabeth. Thomas and Reuben Baldwyn as trustees; to the poor of Wrotham, one quarter of wheat, to be distributed as his wife thinks fit; Elizabeth Tomlyn as executrix, to receive personal estate and as residuary legatee.
