Elizabeth Scrope was born after 1388 at Upsall and Masham, Yorkshire, England.

She married, firstly, Thomas Clarell, Esq., son of Thomas Clarell, Esq. and Maud Montgomery, circa 8 May 1408. They had 3 daughters:
Elizabeth, wife of Sir Richard FitzWilliam
Maud, wife of a Mr. Ughtred
Alice, Prioress of Hampole

She married, secondly, Sir John Pilkington, Constable of Chester Castle, Chamberlain of the Exchequer, Steward & Bailiff of Howden, Escheator of Lancashire, Seneschal of Sherburn, son of Robert Pilkington and Joan Rawson, before 18 July 1455.

She died between 18 July 1455 and 1464.[
