Mary Hurst who married Lawrence Tristram, we know she is definitely the sister of Edward, William and John from Edward’s will and the legal document in connection with Edward’s will.
Edward is 'Edward Hurst the elder’ in his will. I have found baptisms for Edward 1594, William 1600 and John 1602. So if Mary is their sister then their mother cannot have been Sarah Green as Edward didn’t marry her until 1606.
The children baptised to William and John also dispute this as John would have only been 15 when his daughter was born. As both John and William called a daughter Priscilla I am picking that their father Edward was married to Priscilla and she is the Priscilla buried 1626 wife of Edward.
We also know from Edward’s will that he had a brother in law Thomas Hanscombe, a brother in law Lawrence Tristram and a brother in law Samuel Crowch who had a daughter Judith Crowch.
Edward was married to Mary who later remarried Robert Draper. Edward had no children.
Edward’s brother, John, died in 1644 and left a will where he named his wife as Rebecca.
John had 4 daughters and a son William.
From the legal document we know two of the daughters names, Priscilla baptised 19 Aug 1621 and married Robert Collys, and Mary baptised 30 May 1624. I think the other two were Agnes 1626 and Sarah 1635. On John’s burial he is buried in 1644 as the son of Edward. Now, in Edward’s will he leaves legacies to his nephews and nieces and stipulates “so as they and every of them do upon payment thereof release and relinquish my executor of all such legacies as are given them by my father’s will deceased.” This means that Edward’s father was well and truly alive when his grandchildren were born. I wonder where this will is? He must be the Edward that was buried 1632 or 1642
