1729, Mar. 3. Will—proved 1732, Dec. 4. Exs. sons James and Joseph. To wife Mary, house for life, and then to sous Jeremiah and Elisha. To wife also, household goods, £280, and to be provided in victuals, drink, firewood, &c. To son James, land at Wansocut, great bible, book called Robert's Key, and a gun which was my father's. To son Joseph, land. To son Andrew, house at Chapatsett, and half the land there. To son Obadiah, the other half of Chapatsett land, except 6 acres, a lot in town, &c To grandson James Greene, 150 acres. To daughters Mary and Ann, £200, each, paid partly with a negro woman at £80. To sons Jeremiah and Elisha, the homestead, all lands between Town street and highway, &c, they taking care of their mother.
Inventory, £915, 6d., viz: books, bonds £178, 5s., 6 silver spoons, 24 chairs, 2 canes, shoemaker's tools, loom, spinning wheel, negro woman Quassi,
and boy Cuffy £100, 4 hogsheads of apple beer, 2 hogsheads cider, 2 horses, mare, 2 swine, 30 sheep, 4 oxen, 6 cows, 5 calves, cider press, cheese, press, hay, oats, flax, &c. The rooms named were kitchen, great kitchen chamber, little kitchen chamber, east lower bed room, great chamber, north-east little chamber, and south-east little chamber.
1736, Jul. 20. Will—proved 1736, Nov. 29. Widow Mary. Exs. sons Jeremiah and Elisha. To sons Jeremiah and Elisha, 33½ acres in Smithfield given her by brother Andrew Harris. To son Joseph, £40. To daughter Ann Brown, wearing apparel, £100, due from brother Toleration Harris, &c. She mentions her daughters Martha Greene and Mary Brown as deceased. To son Jeremiah, apprentice boy Othniel Hearnden. To son Elisha, negro boy Cuffey, &c.
He and his wife were buried in North Burial Ground.
