"WILLIAM HENRY MOORE
"William Henry Moore, son of Sarah Jane and Marion Moore, was born at Elm
Creek, Nebraska, February 5, 1878, and departed this life at Minneapolis at the
age of 75 years and 24 days.
"When a boy he with his parents moved to Glen Elder, where he spent most of
his life. He was united in marriage to Mildred Daisy Luckey on March 9, 1898,
and to this union seven children were born. Two children, Marvin Everett and
Ola Martez, preceded him in death. His wife passed away March 18, 1941. Since
that time he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Elva Morse of Minneapolis.
"He leaves to mourn his death three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Elva Morse
of Minneapolis, Mrs. Oscar Foster of Dallas, Oregon; Mrs. Lavina Shane of
Waldport, Oregon; Vivian Moore of Minneapolis, and Richard Moore of Glen Elder.
He also leaves a kind and loving step-mother, Mrs. Rega(?) Moore of Glen
Elder, eight grand children, and four great grand children, and a host of other
relatives and friends.
"Funeral services were held at the Fouts Funeral Home in Minneapolis on
Tuesday, March 3, at 1:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Lucy Wright. Mrs. Verla
Swagerty sang 'Back of the Clouds' and 'Good Night and Good Morning.' Casket
bearers were Irvin Stuart, Roy Porter, Ralph Hepperly, Elwood Clover, Vinton
Applebee, and Clifford Brunnemer. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery with the
Fouts Funeral Home in charge."
