Sharan L. VonHoltz, 64 and a resident of 107 West Seneca St. in Oswego passed away Monday morning in the Oswego Hospital. She was born October 17, 1942 and was the daughter of the late George and Bertha Penfield VonHoltz. Sharan was employed with the National Grid Purchasing Department in Syracuse. She previously worked as a bookkeeper for E.S. Howard Co. Her passion and hobby was for nieces and nephew's birthdays and also for coworkers. She was an avid book reader and enjoyed putting puzzles together. Sharan was a charter member of the Oswego Figure Skating Club, where she also served as coach and worked on many of the early skate shows. She enjoyed vacation trips and was looking forward to a planned trip to Alaska, Sharan also enjoyed collecting dolls. She is survived by three sisters Linda Cook of Oswego, Karan Rhoades of Greenfield Center, Beverly Wyckoff of Interlaken, two brothers George W. VonHoltz, Jr. of Oswego and Bruce VonHoltz of Oneonta.Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Paul D. VonHoltz and Dale C. VonHoltz who's birthday was also October 17. Funeral services will be Thursday 11:00AM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Sivers officiating. Calling hours Wed. 4-7PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
