Mrs. Anna Bosma, 73 died early Saturday morning in the home of her son, Pete Bosma at Ocheyedan. Funeral services were held in the Christian Reformed Church at Ocheyedan Tuesday aftdernoon, with the Rev. Bossenbrook officiating. Burial was in the Ocheyedan cemetery.
Mrs. Anna Bosma was born Anna Kuperus, November 12, 1883, daughter of Gabe and Renske Kuperis in the Neteherlands.
On February 9, 1911 she was united in marriage to Riender Bosma. Mr. and Mrs. Bosma were the parents of three sons and three daughters.
Two days after their marriage they came to the United Sdtates, living near Hull, Iowa for a short time before moving to the Ocheyedan community where she spent the rest of her life.
Her husband preceded her in death on August 9, 1934.
Surviving are the following children: Pete Bosma of Harris; Mrs. Andrew Baker (Rena) of Verdi, Minn; Gale of Harris; Mrs. Harry Hoekstra (Sadie) of Harris, Arnold Bosma, Ocheyedan; and Mrs. Bartel Huizenga (Tena), Albuquerque, New Mexico. She also leaves thirty-one grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three brothers, and three sisters in the Netherlands and one brother, Pete Kuperus in Indianapolis, Indiana.
