Sherwood D. Hall, 89, of Duluth, died Saturday, December 3, 2005. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, December 5, 2005 at The First Baptist Church in Duluth with the body lying instate at Noon. Entombment will be in Peachtree Memorial Park Mausoleum. An Illinois native, Mr. Hall was a Navy and Marine Veteran, serving during WWII, was retired from Waters Industries with 25 years of service, where he was awarded the F. O. Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Service in the field of Transplantation and Organ Preservation by the International Society for Organ Preservation. He was instrumental in installing and training surgeons and technicians on Waters Medical Systems' Kidney Preservation Systems that were first introduced in 1971. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Duluth. He is survived by his wife, Henriette "Harriette" Hall; sons, Kenneth D. Hall of Duluth, Sherwood A. Hall of Snellville; daughter, Adriane H. Carr of Siloam Springs, AR; brother, Leland Hall of Jonesboro; and nine grandchildren. Condolences may be express at CrowellBrothers.com.
