Leading numismatist. President of the American Numismatic Association 1985-87, and vice-president 1983-85. Florence specialized in promoting the Young Numismatist program of the ANA, as well as in the regional and local coin clubs she was very actively involved in. Florence was a mentor to many youth, some who went on to professional numismatic careers. She served as president of the Michigan State Numismatic Society. In 1994 she received the Farran Zerbe Memorial Award by the ANA for outstanding and distinguished service to the hobby of numismatics. Occupation: Executive secretary for the National Casualty Insurance Company for 26 years, and president of it's credit union.
