Betty Van Ostenbridge Ten Brink, 70, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, after a yearlong battle with cancer.
A memorial service in celebration of BettyÕs life will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at Gulf Cove United Methodist Church.
She was born Nov. 13, 1935, in Paterson, N.J., to Aaron and Mini Van Ostenbridge. Betty moved to Englewood in 2001 from Missouri, having lived for 34 years in Columbia and Kirksville.She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Betty was a devout and active Christian who displayed her faithfulness to the very end through her testimony and caring witness. She was a member of Gulf Cove United Methodist Church
, and was past chairwoman of the Stonecroft Christian WomenÕs Club for the Kirksville and Englewood chapters.Betty will be greatly missed by her husband, Terry Ten Brink; daughters Sue Townsend and husband Mark of St. Paul, Minn., and Jill Applegate and husband Stephen of Versailles, Ky.; son Doug Ten Brink of Clearwater, Fla.; sisters Wilma Tuit
of Bradenton, Fla., and Janet Zinn and husband Dave of Kalamazoo, Mich.; brother John Van Ostenbridge and wife Daryl of Bradenton; and six granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Helen Teitsma and Mae Van Ostenbridge; and brother Aaron Van Ostenbridge.
