Woonde op de IJsseldijk te IJsselstein in 1658, verhuisde toen naar Alendorp in Vleuten rond 1661. Paulus was Schepen van Vleuten tussen 1680 en 1707.
U93a45 act 56, December 22, 1703. Paulus Jansz Hollaer, resident of Alendorp (now in south Vleuten) widower of Maijchgen de Roij transfers to his second son, and first son by Maijchgen, Cornelis Paulusz Hollaer his housewares like beds, blankets, woollens, linnens, gold, coper, tin, pottery and everything else, with the exception of a few pieces of furniture, plus all crops in stock or on the field, hay, straw, horses, cows and other lifestock, carts and coaches, plows and anything related to the farm business and found on the farm, plus the deeds to the leases and all debts and taxes, except for the fruits from an unspecified piece of land, which Cornelis has to work, a bed and accessories, 4 pillowcases, a chest, a copper pot and a small kettle. It is a confusing document, in a bad hand and words blotched in the middle by a badly used blotting paper. It appears to be going hither and tither between what Paulus gives and what Paulus keeps. Paulus also gets half the proceeds should Cornelis decide to keep bees, and just before the end Paulus adds a few other items he keeps.
In exchange Cornelis will keep his father in his old age with food, drink and clothes as found necessary, in sickness and health, and to serve his gerack en gemack (comfort); and he has to provide him with a decent funeral. Should Paulus decide to move in with another child, Cornelis has to pay him Fl 50 a year. On his death these goods are to be held in common property, but Cornelis keeps the leases and half the income of the land in ownership. Jan (by first wife Jannichje van Oostrum), Teuntje widow of Cornelis Blom and Jannigje (by second wife Maijchgen de Roij) sign there agreement. This is my understanding of the document.
