Wilhelm Goldbaum, author, b. 6 Jan 1843, studied at the HighSchool inWroclaw, Silesia, Poland, & began to study philosophy there. After he'd had a post in Poznan, Wlkp., Poland as a private tutor for a year, he continued his studies in Berlin, Brandenburg, Germany, spent some time in Leipzig & entered the editorial staff of the "Posener Posner Zeitung" in 1869. October 1872 he went to Vienna, where he has since then been on the editorial staff of the "Neuen Freien Presse". His most well-known works are "Entlegene Kulturen", 1877, & "Literarische Physiognomien", 1884
