Notizen bei Vincent Meigs

Vincent was born about 1583 and married Emma Stronge about 1606. Emma probably died before he came to America with his three sons. Vincent is first recorded in the country in 1641 at Weymouth, MA. Vincent and the family appear to have moved to New Haven, CT by about 1644. He moved to East Guilford, CT, (now Madison) with his son John in 1653/4. Vincent died on December 1, 1658 in East Guilford. His will is dated September 2, 1658 and was probated on December 2, 1658. Tradition has it that he was the first to be buried in Hammonasset Grave Yard.
