She was baptized on 27 Apr 1844 with the Maiden Name of her mother GRAMM and was shown as illegitimate in the birth register until after her parents marriage on 24 Nov 1846, the day after her father's 25th Birthday, as 25 was the required age for men to be married in Mecklenburg . Her older sisters: Auguste Dorothea Johanne (née GRAMM) WINKELMANN and Karoline Sophia Friederike (née GRAMM) aka...Frieda or Rikka WINKELMANN and brother: Ludwig Friedrich Wilhelm (née GRAMM) WINKELMANN were all born GRAMM until the Church Sanctioned Marriage between Karl Gottfried Heinrich WINKELMANN and Maria Elisabeth Katharina GRAMM aka Caroline GRAMM on 24 Nov 1846. Only her youngest brother Johann Georg Friedrich WINCKELMANN aka WINKELMANN born 4 Jul 1851, was born truly legitimate per Church Records in Penzlin.
She died on 13 May 1851 and the cause of death listed in the Church Records was Auszehrung, which is most often associated with Tuberculosis. She was buried on 15 May 1851
After her death, the entire family, including Christina Maria Johanna WINKELMANN'S two sisters and two brothers, and half-brother Karl Johann Friedrich BORCHERT and half-sister Sophia Friedrika Wilhelmina THIEDE, both children from her mother’s previous marriages, emigrated to America on board the ship Gutenberg , a Barque, which set sail from Hamburg on 16 Nov 1852 and arrived in New York, New York, USA on 24 Jan 1853....
