Black Hawk (sometimes Blackhawk) is an unincorporated census-designated place (CDP) in Meade County, South Dakota, United States. Black Hawk was founded in 1881 by Swedish immigrants, the majority of whom were from the same communities in Sweden. The population was 2,892 at the 2010 census. Black Hawk has been assigned the ZIP code of 57718. Located along Interstate 90, Black Hawk is part of the Rapid City metropolitan area.
