Ada is a city in Norman County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,707 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Norman County. Minnesota State Highways 9 and 200 are two of the main arterial routes in the city. The town was named for the eldest daughter of William H. Fisher, attorney and superintendent of the St. Paul and Pacific railroad, who had died aged 6. (Another town, Forada in Douglas County, would have been called Ada if Ada, Minnesota had not already existed.)
