"Harry Kettwick Rites Held at Reformed Church
Funeral services for Harry Kettwiek, 80, of Buffalo Center were held Wednesday, September 17, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Reformed Church at Buffalo Center with Rev. Henry Van der Schaaf officiating. Winter Funeral Service was in charge ofarrangements and interment was in Graceland Cemetery.
Miss Ella Dirksen was organist and Mr. and Mrs. Alroy Krull sang. Pallbearers were Herman Kettwick, Alvin Meinders, Everett Krull, John Krull, Carlyle Gerzema and Dean Gerzema.
Harry Kettwick was born on August 22, 189S to Gerd Kettwick and Wubke Vusch Kettwick in Warshingfehn, Germany. He served in the German navy before coming to Titonka, Iowa. There he worked as a farm hand. On February 4, 1931 he wasunited in marriage to Hannah Gerzema. They moved to a farm northwest of Buffalo Center and were blessed with five children. In the fall of 1960 they retired and moved to town.
He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Buffalo Center where he served on the Consistory"

He had good health till five weeks ago and then suffered A stroke September 7 and was at the Buffalo Center Hospital where he passed away at the Age of 80 years.and 24 days.
He is survived by his;Wife, Hannah; three daughters and one son: Geraldine (Mrs. Jake Wessels) of Buffalo Center; Harold of Buffalo Center; Lenora (Mrs'. Kenneth Moorhead) of Rochester, Minn.; Elvera (Mrs. Donald Logemann) of Swea City;15 grandchildren and one brother, Harm Kettwick of Titonka and five sisters in Germany and nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Marvin in 1955, his parents and two brothers and one sister."
