The undersigned having been appointed by the honorable county court of Marshall County Kentucky, commissioners for the Division of Land held in conjunction with citizens of this State and none residents, and land held in conjunction with citizens of this State and none residents, and land held in conjunction by citizens of this state, met at the home of JOHN M. HELMS, on Wednesday the 3rd of March, 1952 on the application of JOHN M. HELM, one of the owners by purchase of land belonging to the estate of the late THOMAS HILL, Decedent, and JAMES BRIANT, Guardian for the infant children of said Decedent, who having refused when called on for that purpose to divide the lands herein after named for his said wards; and after having been first duly sworn in open Court, we proceeded to ride over and examine the lands that descended from said decedent to the above name heirs, and caused the same to be laid off into 12 lots, agreeably to quantity and quality by the Department Surveyor of this county and assigned the same as follows; First ran round the South West quarter of Section 36, Township 6, Range 3 East of the Meridian line, which they found to contain 106 acres 3 rods and 27 poles. East of the Meridian line which contained 139 acres and 38 poles. after which they proceeded to lay off the several lots in the following manner:

Lot No. 1 fell to JOHN HOLLAND and WIFE ( now owned by Mitchell) beginning at a hickory, with three red oaks around (a corner to T. Grubs gr.) then West 41 poles to a post and 3 black oaks, then South 70 poles to three red oak, then East 41 poles to two post and red oak then North 77 poles to beginning, containing 18 acres 3 rods and 34 poles.

Lot No. 2 fell to J. S. FARMER and WIFE ".... containing 17 acres, 1 rod."

Lot No. 3 fell to R. H. HILL (now owed by John M. Helm). ".... 15 acres 3 rods and 28 poles."

Lot No. 4 fell to VALENTINE HILL (now owed by John M. Helm) ".... 17 acres 3 rods and 20 poles."

Lot No. 5 fell to HARRISON KIRKLAND and WIFE (now owed by J. S. Farmer) "....18 acres, 1 rod and 28 poles."

Lot No. 6 fell to ISAAC HOLDER and WIFE (now owed by J. S. Farmer) "....16 acres and 18 poles."

Lot No. 7 fell to ISAAC KIRKLAND and WIFE (now owned by Elizabeth Helm) "...17 acres 1 rod and 15 poles."

Lot No. 8 fell to WILLIAM HILL ".... containing 38 acres and 20 poles."

Lot No. 9 fell to GEORGE HILL "..... containing 19 acres, 2 rods and 4 poles."

Lot No. 10 fell to MATILDA HILL "....containing 25 acres, and 30 poles."

Lot No. 11 fell to PETER HILL; "....containing 19 acres, 3 rods and 14 poles."

Lot No. 12 fell to THOMAS HILL "....containing 20 acres and one rod."

All of which divisions, meter and bounds, together with the contents of each lot we beg leave to report to court.

I, Henry Han, clerk of the County Court of said County, do certify that at a County court began and held at the court house in Benton on the 5 day of April last, this report of partition of land belonging to the Estate of Thomas Hill, Decades between the heirs and owners of the same made by Hugh Gilbert, Daniel Pace and Willie Waller, commissioners as therein represented, was produced to court, examined and ordered to be filed and lie over foe exceptions. And that at a county court continued and held as aforesaid on Tuesday the 3 day of August Inst. said report was again exhibited and no exception having been filed or manifested thereto, the same approved and ordered to recorded. In testimony of which and that said report and this certificate have and now stand truly recorded in my office. I hereto set my official signature the 10th day of August A.D. 1852.
