LifeSketch: PLEASE READ: This John Stewart, b. 1735, son of Samuel, b. 1688, has a descendant whose "Y" DNA test is a 100% match with 2 other sons of Samuel: David, 1725 and Joseph, 1740.ns, "The Maiden Family of Virginia and Allied Families." CAUTION: However, there is an error in Rollins book about the parentage for John's father, Samuel Stewart, that followed the Stewart Clan Magazine error that by speculation adds a fictitious generation. That theory made an extra Samuel, son of Samuel's brother David into the fictitious father. This brother David had no wife or children as indicated by the administration of his estate in 1718 by his brother John who died in Delaware about 1756. ect data but Rollins follows the admitted speculation in Stewart Clan Magazine that invents an extra generation in the family that does not exist. There is no evidence that David, the alleged father of the alleged extra generation Samuel, ever married as shown by the administration of his estate and his inventory. And that there was no child to be provided for through the Orphans Court at Sussex. David Stewart who died in DE between 27 January 1718 when named in his stepfather's will and and 25 February 25 1718 when the administration of David's estate was given to his brother John. No references to spouse or children were in the administration papers and his inventory was consistent with one who lived alone as a bachelor. David's land went to his brother John which is another red flag that there was no child involved.ut 1740 of a different, unrelated David Stuart to a Margaret McKinney who was probably born after David of Delaware died, and of course the deceased never went to Virginia. The other David Stuart and Margaret McKinney of August County are documented in wills and land records in Virginia and entirely unrelated. there is plenty of evidence for only 1 Samuel, b. abt. 1688, brother of David who d. 1718, as per all of his and other family members' records in NY, DE, NJ, VA and NC. The following link is accurate about the marriage of John J Stewart to Susannah Fulkerson Bledsoe and his land records and 2 children, etc.
