LifeSketch: Able was born in Byberry, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania to Thomas J. Knight III and Sarah Elizabeth Plumbley. He was the second child of 10. He married Rachel Head, daug. of Thomas Head in Dec. 1739. He died in what was the villiage which New Garden Monthly Meeting was first built in. It no longer exists. There was a lenghtly biography witten on Albe about 1840. He was a decendent of Giles Knight who came to America in 1782 with William Penn. The family had been Quakers even before that in Surry Co., England. He and Rachel had 8 children that we know of:ight (infant)izabeth Simpson and so they named the 7th child Able also. This has been researched in the Quaker Books and in the book on Able.IS CHILDRENS BIRTHS AND ALONG WITH THAT WAS WHEN HE CAME TO MEETING AND WHO WITH, WHO HE SAT BY AND ECT.
