Gustav Adolph was the fifth child bornin theCarl August heise family. he lived with his parenyts at Minden. he attended the Minden School then left to help his parents on the family farm.
he married Dorothea Muller on 30 Nov 1893. In august 1900 he took over the family property and lived there all his life. he was a great lover of horses and owned both pony and draught stallions. Music was also a great part of his life and he sang and played the auto-harp.
Gustav Adolph and Fred Muller (senior) secured the contract for over 300 telephone poles for the Minden-Coolana-Prenzlau and Tarampa districts. In 1914 the house was rebuilt and still stands overlooking the Minden Valley today. many big wedding receptions were held under the house. Visitors came from far and near to admire the beautiful garden which was a real show place.
The family attended St Joh's Lutheran Chruch at Minden. Dorothea was well known as Mother Christmas. She would stand at the door and hand out Christmas presents.
Gustav died on 23 Jun 1944 aged 72 years. he and his wife are both buried in the Church Cemetery.
