He was born October 6, 1896, in Liberty, Weber County, Utah. He enlisted December 8, 1917, at Salt Lake City, Utah, Ft. Douglas. He sailed from the United States April 6, 1918. He was in Co. C, 7th Infantry, 3d Division Regulars, and attended camp at Kelley Field, Texas, and camp Hancock, Georgia. He was killed in action June 20, 1918. For some time he was reported as "missing in action" at Belleau Woods. His grave was unknown because the comrades who buried him were in turn also killed. Several years afterward his brother Earl C. Wade was in Europe and was taken by a guide to a grave to which Don had been moved. He had been well identified by tags and other means and now rests in Grave 35, Row 1, Block A, Aisne-Marne American Cemetery, Belleau, Aisne, France. Information Isabelle Wade (Mother)--WD"
