Our beloved husband, son , brother, father, and grandfather, Waldo E. Hepworth, age 67, passed away July 4, 2005 at the Star Valley Medical Center after suffering a brief illness.
Waldo was born Jan 23, 1938 to Fay and Florize Hepworth in Grover. He was a graduate of Star Valley High School and received an associates degree from Rick's College. He was then called to serve in the Southwest Indian Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served for two and a half years and learned the Navajo language.
Waldo attended BYU and earned a bachelors degree in education. He went on to complete a masters degree at Northern Arizona University.
April 3, 1972 Waldo married Gaye Lynn Goodman in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He worked and lived in Arizona for over 40 years.
Waldo was preceded in death by his father, brother Milan and sister Arnola Borman.
He is survived by his wife; mother; brother Kendall; sisters, Maria, Janet, Wilma, Valene, Roseanne, Zina and Rachel; his children, Cynthia; Kolt; Natalie; Tara Lynn; and granddaughter Sabrynna.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Meadows LDS Ward Chapel.
A viewing was held on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. at Schwab Mortuary in Afton. Another viewing will take place from 9-10:45 a.m. on Thursday prior to the funeral services at the church.
In lieu of flowers dontations toward a headstone would be appreciated.
