Life's Work/Service/Interests: Vaughn then attended Brigham Young University where he met a beautiful red headed girl named Elizabeth Ann Poulsen. They were married in the Manti Utah LDS Temple on Sept. 12, 1952, for time and all eternity. Shortly after their marriage, Vaughn was drafted into the United States Army. This was during the Korean War but Vaughn was stationed in Panama and worked in a radar tower in the jungle. After leaving Panama, Vaughn and Elizabeth moved to Florida so Vaughn could work with his father on his dairy and citrus farms. While in Florida, their five boys were born. In 1965, Vaughn and Elizabeth returned to Utah with his parents and continued to farm in the Lake View area of Provo. Vaughn also started his own business, Anjo Machine. Vaughn always loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. When his father purchased property in the mountains of Montana he and Elizabeth spent their summers there working with their sons. They built a cabin and enjoyed spending time with their family and friends there. Vaughn was an active member of the LDS Church his entire life and served in many callings including: Young Men President, Stake High Council, and Second Counselor in the Bishopric. After Vaughn retired and his father had passed away, he, Elizabeth and his mother, Luella, returned to Emmett, Idaho, where they lived on the hillside overlooking the valley until the time of their deaths.
