private nursing home, Launces-
ton, Rosada Helen, loved wife of
the late Robert Blyth, of Palana,
Flinders Island, and loved mother
of Ted, George, Louis, May (Mrs.
Jackson), Keith (deceased),
Athol, Rosada (Mrs. R. Y. Mc-
Kenzie), and Stanley, aged 85
years.

BURIED IN NORTH
THE funeral of Mrs. Rosada Blyth,
Talana, Flinders Island, took place
at Carr Villa, Launceston.
Mrs. Blyth, who was 85, died
at a nursing home in Laun-
ceston.
She was born in Southern
Tasmania and spent her child-
hood at Richmond.
In 1885 she married Mr. Rob-
ert Blyth, one of the pioneers
of the Furneaux Group.
They settled on West Sisters
Island. where they lived for 20
years.
In 1905 Mr. and Mrs. Blyth
and their family moved to Flin-
ders Island. Mr. Blyth died in
1917.
In 1922 Mrs. Blyth formed
the company of R. Blyth and
Sons Pty. Ltd., and was man-
aging director until her death.
Mrs. Blyth was a keen church
worker. The funeral service
was conducted by the Rev R.
C Brown.
Chief mourners were Messrs.
Ted, George, Louis, Athol, and
Stanley (sons), May (Mrs. M.
Jackson) and Rosada (Mrs. R.
Y Mackenzie), daughters;
Myrtle, Rene, and Madelene
(daughters-in-law), and Mr.
Rupert Blyth (nephew)
Pallbearers were Messrs. Gil-
bert, Graham, Ralph, and Ed-
win Blyth (grandsons), and Ray
Bumford.
Funeral arrangements were
