Salley - Zeglingen, Farnsburg, Basel, Switzerland. On 23 April 1735 Heini Salin of Zeglingen with wife and children departed down the Rhine to go to Carolina. For his own, his wife's and four children manumission 40 pounds. Ten percent tax on 200 pounds worth of property , 20 pounds 60.

Unless one of these five remained in the Canton, one of them must have died before emigrating. The death of a Heinrich Salin is recorded in July, 1734, but without indication of age. Faust Vol. II , pgs.90-91.
