RESEARCH NOTES: From the will we know his wife was Elizabeth, but was she a Rountree?
A William Wallace of Perquimans was mentioned in the will of his grandfather Thomas Rountree in 1746.
Both Thomas Wallace and his wife Elizabeth were alive at that time.
Could it be that the Elizabeth Rountree who married Elias Stallings in abt 1735 (not documented) is the same Elizabeth who married Thomas Wallace and divorced him. (He died in 1750) and that some of the Wallace children assumed the Stallings name?

--------------
He shows on some records with 4 children born after William D. Wallace (born before 1730 in the coloonies)
Jonathan 1732
Judith 1736
Susannah 1738
Elizabeth 1742 all born in Ediborough, Scotland.
There is not proof that they were born in Scotland - this would mean Elizabeth traveled back to Scotland with her husband to have these four children and then return. Not very likely.
Thomas is said to have died in 1750 in Chowan County (see will)
