WHITEVILLE -- Calvin Thomas Gerganous, 60, of Long Corner Road diedFriday in Columbus County Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in New Life Baptist Churchin Exum by the Rev. Clayton Rivenbark. Burial will be in the churchcemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Worthington Funeral Home ofChadbourn.
Mr. Gerganous is survived by his wife, Virginia C. Gerganous of thehome; a daughter, Tammy G. Sellers of Ash; a brother, Robert L. Gerganousof Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Louise G. Pilletta of Wilmington; andtwo grandchildren.

WHITEVILLE -- Calvin Thomas Gerganous, 60, of the Crusoe IslandCommunity, died Friday, March 10, 2001 in Columbus County Hospital.
He was the son of the late Jesse Thomas and Elizabeth Alford Gerganous.He was preceded in death by a sister, Jessie Mildred Nahm. Mr. Gerganouswas a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.
Final rites were conducted Sunday, March 11 at New Life Baptist Church inExum by the Rev. Clayton Rivenbark. Interment was in the church cemetery.Worthington Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Clewis Gerganous of the home; onedaughter: Tammy G. Sellers of Ash; one brother: Robert L. Gerganous ofJacksonville, Fla.; one sister: Louise Polletta of Wilmington; twograndchildren: *Alexia Danielle Stover and *William Anthony Stover, bothof Ash.
Pallbearers were: Tony Sellers, Marion Warren, Ervin Etheridge, CharlesE. Gore, Ardie Duncan, and Paul Clewis.
