EDNA WILLIAMS MINCEY
Mrs. Edna Williams Mincey, 85, of 103 Sunnyvale Drive, Wilmington, N.C.,died Sunday, February 21, 1999 at home.
Mrs. Mincey was born in Clarendon, N.C., May 12, 1913, and was thedaughter of the late Benjamin Frazier Williams and Flora Armenta Cox.
She was a member of Long Leaf Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, Michael Kirby Mincey and his wife, Dee Dee, bothof Wilmington; a daughter, Sheryl M. Howard and husband, Dempsey, both ofWilmington; her triplet brother and sister, Edward Williams of Wilmingtonand Evelyn Hardee of Clarendon, N.C.; sisters, Marie Blount of Loris,S.C., Eunice Williams of Whiteville, N.C. and Eula Miller of Tabor City,N.C.; two grandchildren, Michael K. (Mickey) Mincey Jr. and MichelleMincey Jacobs; and one great-grandchild, Christi Mincey.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 1999 inthe chapel of Andrews Mortuary, Market Street with the Reverend EugeneRidley, the Reverend Kenneth Chinn and the Reverend Allen McKeithanofficiating. Entombment will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial ParkMausoleum.
Casketbearers will be Rupert Strickland, Mark Jacobs, Michael K. MinceyJr., Gene Todd, Wayne Phil-lips, and Michael Morley.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday eveningfrom 7 until 8 p.m. and at other times at Mrs. Mincey's residence.
The family wishes to thank everyone who helped to care for her and aspecial thanks to her sister-in-law, Bertha E. Mincey of Ennice , N.C.for being such a special caregiver.
