LORIS - Myrtie Mae Watts Blanton, 75, of the Live Oak community, diedSunday, March 19, 2000, at home after an illness.
She was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Tabor City, N.C., a daughter of the lateOdell and Eva Watts.
She was the widow of Joseph Blanton.
She was a homemaker, a retired owner and operator of the Live Oak GroceryStore and an active member of Live Oak Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Wayne Blanton and his wife, Robin, andMark Stuart Blanton and his wife, Donna, all of Loris; two daughters,Wanda Hodge and her husband, Return, of Loris, and Beverly Ray and herhusband, Edward, of Galivants Ferry; three brothers, Grady Watts ofLoris, Hoyt Watts and Homer Watts, both of Thomasville, N.C.; foursisters, Essie Nealy, Mary Lou Bullard and Elizabeth Tyler, all of TaborCity, and Princess Olshinski of Thomasville; six grandchildren, DennisBlanton of Amelia, Va., Joey Blanton of Conway, Krystal Blanton, MichaelHodge and Bradley Blanton, all of Loris, and Dana Lynn Ray of GalivantsFerry; and a great-grandchild, Tanner Blanton of Conway.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Live Oak Baptist Church. The Revs.Clyde Johnson, Roger Chestnut and Mack Hutson will officiate. Burial willbe in Live Oak Cemetery.
