J. Clyde Floyd
J. Clyde Floyd, 75, of the Little River community, died Tuesday. Jan. 2,2001, at home after an illness.
He was born June 24, 1925, in Horry County, a son of the late Jessie ObieFloyd and Florrie Emaline Gause Floyd.
He was the widower of Juanita Currie Floyd.
He was the owner and operator of Clyde's Exxon Convenience and FireworksStore. He served in the Army and was a deacon at the Chapel by the SeaBaptist Church in North Myrtle Beach.
Survivors include a son, Joe Floyd and his wife, Tina, of Little River; astepdaughter, Monica Currie of Loris; four brothers, Wayne Floyd andCharles Floyd, both of Myrtle Beach, and Bryan Floyd and Jimmy Floyd,both of North Myrtle Beach; four sisters, Pauline Campbell and RubyStanley, both of Loris, Sylvia Bredden of North Myrtle Beach and MildredJordan of Charlotte, N.C.; two grandchildren, Jarrod Floyd andChristopher Floyd, both of Little River.
He was predeceased by two brothers, James Floyd and Troy Floyd; and asister, Madybelle Campbell.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Chapel by the Sea BaptistChurch. The Revs. Floyd Collins and Willie Shepard will officiate. Burialwill be in Princeville Cemetery.
