Will of John FrinkIn the name of God, Amen, I John Frink of South Carolina CravenCounty being very weak and low in body but of sound mind and under-standing thanks be to God for it and considering my own presentweakness and that it is appointed once for all men to die haththought proper to make this my last will and testament. Firstcommitting my soul into the hands of God, that gave it and bodyto Earth to be decently buried by the discretion of my executorsfirst I will and bequeath to my Honoured Mother Martha Frink,all that Plantation or tract of two hundred and forty acres ofland whereon I am now settling my will is further that my HonouredMother shall have the use of a young negroe wench called Ritterher life time and after her death to be left as is after mentioned
furthermore I give and bequeath to my loving brother Dennis Hankinsone negroe boy called Jacob and all the monies in his hands and mycloth for a new suit of cleaths and oxen and whip saw
I furthermore give and bequeath to my loving sister Ann Gaus one negroewench Lewocy and her child
my brother in law Benjamin Gaus payingfifty pounds toward payment for said wench and child
I furthergive and bequeath to my loving brother Thomas Frink one negroefellow called Vinter and all my wearing apparel one bed and furniturefour head of outlying horses my watch and a set of silver tea spoonsand my Rifle gun
I further give and bequeath to my loving brotherSamuel Frink after the death of my mother the above mentioned wenchRitter I further give and bequeath after my decease to my brotherSamuel Frink my new beaver hat and my new saddle and bridle my goldbuttons and my desk.
I further more give and bequeath my nephewBenjamin Gaus son to Benjamin and Ann Gaus five cows and calveswith their increase to be in the care of Thomas Frink until he arrivesto the age of twenty one years, I further more give and bequeath tonephew Masters ____ one young bay horse
