Ann Kittrell Clevenger
Ann Kittrell Clevenger, 66, of Eagle Lake, died of post inflammatory pulmonary fibrosis Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at her residence.
She was born on and raised on a farm in the rural Florida panhandle, in Cottondale, and moved to the area in 1957 from Winter Gardens.
She faithfully attended Winter Haven Church of God and her daily life exemplified her strong Christian faith. She was a homemaker, providing a safe and secure home for her four children. Later she was a nurse's aide, where she cared for terminally ill patients, giving them comfort and care in their final days.
She managed a church daycare center for 20 years. The past few years, she worked as a teacher's paraprofessional, assisting special-needs children. She was nominated and awarded "Employee of the Year" at Stambaugh Middle School in 2005. She loved children and was often successful with those who needed her the most.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd E. Clevenger Jr. of Eagle Lake; three sons, Steve (Laurie) Clevenger of Eagle Lake, Rodney Alan Clevenger of Ocoee, and Randy (Heather) Clevenger of Cumming, Ga.; a daughter, Marilyn Jackson-Lee (Toby) of Daytona; two brothers, Jim Kittrell of Cottondale, and the Rev. J.J. Kittrell of Cottondale; a sister, Betty Barnes of Cottondale; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crisp-Coon Funeral Home in Winter Haven. A service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Winter Haven Church of God. Burial will be at Church of Christ Cemetery in Eagle Lake.
Donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.
