I'm glad you have been doing this research for so long. I feel a little less ignorant now.
Here's more:
Mayberry and Margaret Ann are buried in the Milton, Santa Rosa County, Florida cemetery. Their headstones bear the inscriptions "How sweet to know her in her new home." and "May he find joy in the life everlasting."
Annie Lee Norris married Charlie Robert Powell on November 10, 1907, in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. They got the license the day before.
Charlie was born on July 4, 1881. My dad thought Charlie was born in Abbeville, GA, but I can't confirm that. Charlie died in Pensacola on July 20, 1943, so he never saw me. They are both buried in St. John's cemetery, Pensacola, Florida.
They had four children:
1. Elzzie Charlie (E.C.)
born July 12, 1908 in Pace, Santa Rosa County, Florida
married Dorothy Frances Stanish on January 28, 1929
died March 17, 1970; (They are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pensacola.)

(Jimmy was a quadriplegic from shortly after birth. No children.

Lived in St. Augustine, Florida, where he was the mayor sometime in the 50's.

I'm working on the rest of this info, too. Not sure why I don't have it.
Other stuff:
you have "Zandy Jane Wright" listed. I have her full name as Rosada Jane Wright, with Zad(Zay-dee) Jane or Z.J. as nicknames. Also, I understand there used to be a Wright reunion every Labor Day weekend, I think in Myrtle Beach. One of the Wright decendants was a congressman or something. I may come across the info again.
As for where Mayberry moved to, maybe I should just transcribe a letter I received from my cousin Frank Penton. He wrote it on May 18, 1991.
Dear Dee,
Hope you and family are well and happy. We are fine. I have kidney problems. Time will tell.
The relatives here are few. Mayberry's first and oldest grandchild, Vivian Norris Allen, age 83, has Alzheimer's disease. She belonged to Uncle Calvin Norris. My sister, Margaret Penton Lay, age 78, had colon cancer. She is now wearing the colostomy. Gene, Rufus's oldest son, 61, also has Alzheimer's disease at the lowest stage or worse stage.
We did not go to Rufus' funeral. They expected me. I visited him in march before he died in November. Also I was waiting results of biopsy of kidney, no traveling. In March 1990 Rufus was alert. I had a few words about the Norris family. He hit on a few things we didn't know. And he wasn't clear since he was the youngest and borned [sic] at Dog Farm, Ward's Basin, near Milton, Santa Rosa County, Fl. Mayberry had two other children, Scottie (girl) born 1892, died 1900, age 8. The other was Luther, born 1898, Georgia, died age 2. Scottie and Luther died on the journey from Byran County, Georgia, to High Springs, Florida. Then Mayberry and family moved on to Santa Rosa County, Dog Farm, Ward's Basin.
About 1901 (6?) they moved to Pace, known then as Pea Ridge. I once told you your Dad was born Dog Farm. Clyatt was born there! Your dad was born in Pace a block from where Mayberry lived.
After grandma Norris died 1912, I think Annie moved to paradise, Florida, where Annie Ruth was born. And then on to Spuds [Florida]. Anyway, Mayberry sold his property in N.C. 1896moved to Bryan County, GA for about 4 or 5 years. Did you know Doshia was 82, not 77 when she dies? They kept no records and Grandma did not read or write, Mayberry could.
Ref: 1900 census Byran County, GA
1900 census Santa Rosa County, Florida
Deed filed in Columbus County Courthouse, Whitesville, NC.
I have not been to NC since 1989. Do not expect to go back for health reasons and too many of the cousins have died. I keep in touch by phone with one cousin on Grandma's side, and one on Mayberrys. Oh yes, I did find the tomb of my great great grandparents, (Mayberry's grandparents) Stephen and Millie Ann Wright near Sandy Plain, Wright Cemetery.
I won't be researching any more. I wanted you to know this info.
Keep in touch,
Love,
Frank and Vicie (pronounced Vice-ee) [Penton]

Funny you should ask about the very stuff i DO have. Here 'tis:
Mayberry Norris was born August 12, 1863, in Sandy Plain (I think). He married Margaret Ann Soles on August 3, 1882, also in Columbus County. He died October 16, 1951, at his daughter Annie's home on North Davis Street, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. Margaret Ann Soles was born August 18, 1865 and died December 12, 1912.
I think I neglected to tell you that Mayberry had another son, James Edward, born Sept 16, 1921. Jimmy was not the child of Margaret Ann Soles (Obviously, since she had been dead for almost 10 years) I don't know who his mother was, but, again, that info may still be available through Kenneth Norris Powell and I will see what he knows.
On the CAUSEY side -
I have John Causey born in 1866 and died May 29, 1929. He's supposed to buried in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Buford, S.C.
Mayberry's sister, Margaret Norris Causey was born in Sandy Plain 1865 but I don't have an exact date. She died on April 11, 1945 at Nichols, S.C. and is supposed to be buried next to John.
Here are their children:
name date of birth spouse date of death
Benjamin Lydia Mincie
Mayberry Claudia Frank
Mary Gertrude Willie Flowers
William Mabel Granger
Reba Mae Jessie Jernigan
Delta Charley Hooks 12 March 1978
Lou Clem 14 Oct 1895 George M. Miller
Betty 4 June 1898 Charles R. Miller
Charles Bishop 19 March 1900 Fleetie Dalma
James Rupert Lillie Powell
Frazier Ruby James
Charles and George Miller were brothers. I got all this from Frank Penton. I think he got it first hand from someone in Sandy Plain, but I don't know who. Sorry I don't have more dates, but that's all he had.
