Betty Taylor Betty Jean Taylor, a 25-year resident of Royse City, died Aug. 8, 2007, at the age of 72. She was born July 25, 1935, in Orangeburg, S.C., to Thomas C. and Anna Emily (Vogt) Douglas. Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Commerce. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Taylor of Royse City; a son, Gerald Taylor Jr. and wife Jill of Royse City; daughter Pat McHan and husband Ron of Flower Mound; grandchildren Jeremy Taylor and wife Catie of Fate, Jonathan Taylor of Fate and Jennifer Taylor of Royse City; a great-grandchild, Dakota Taylor of Fate; brother Tommy Douglas and wife Deborah of Eutawville, S.C.; a nephew, Harry Alexander Batten III; and a niece, Bari Douglas Ashcraft. The family would like to give special thanks for the special care given by home health aide Debbie Ludwig and the staff at Texas Senior Care. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Aug. 14, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall chapel with Rev. Michael Frick officiating. Interment followed in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Mildred Gray Mildred Marie Gray, 77, of Commerce, formerly of Suphur Springs and Celeste, died the morning of Aug. 10, 2007, at her residence. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home of Greenville. Rev. David Burns officiated. Born on Mary 17, 1930, in Greenville, she was the daughter of Samuel L. and Vera Thompson Hansford. She married Howard Monroe Gray on July 7, 1950. She worked many years in the restaurant business and was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.She is survived by her daughters Sharon Vice and husband Benny of Sulphur Springs and Carolyn Smith and husband David of Duncanville; son Dennis Gray and wife Susan of Greenville; brothers Bobby Hansford and wife Wanda of Greenville and Howard Hansford and wife Betty of Kingston; sisters Vonda McClure and husband Leroy of Caddo Mills and Patsy Arrington and husband Delbert of Campbell; sister-in-law Jo Dickeson of Greenville; very special niece Jenny Hunter of Rockwall; very special friends Penny and Mitch Valentine of Tiara; several special nieces and nephews; Mama number two to many; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Lillia Measles in 2006.Pallbearers were David Smith, Benny Vice, Jody Pierce, Matthew Smith, Chris Burns and Brent Vice.Maneichy Kosam Maneichy Kosam, 20, of Commerce died July 31, 2007, at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services were at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home chapel with Takis Deita and Taisen Aake officiating. Burial will be in Chuuk, Micronesia.Son of Aichi Kosam and Mersein Pel, he was born June 26, 1987, in Chuuk, Micronesia. Lumley, 66, of Greenville died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Funeral services were at noon Tuesday at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home with Brother Rick Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Eastmount Cemetery in Greenville.Mr. Lumley was born Dec. 4, 1940, in Grand Saline; the son of Johnny and Jovita McClung Lumley. He married Ruth Morrow on July 12, 1970, in Dallas. He was self-employed doing car upholstery.Surviving are his wife, Ruth Lumley, of Greenville; sister and brother-in-law, Dalene and Roy Hammer; sons, Clint Kittrell, Stanley Kitrell, Michael Kitrell, Johnny Dotson and Gene Dotson; daughter, Lisa Wagner; grandsons, Nathan Ehrhart, Brandon Ehrhart, Stanley Kittrell II, Tony McAvoy, Tim McAvoy, Bubba Elder, Matthew White and Ryan Wagner; granddaughters, Brittany Kittrell, Chelsea Kittrell, Kandice Kittrell, LaRissa Duarte, Diamond Kittrell, Janice Atha and Dachelle Atha; great-granddaughter, Devaray Duarte; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sons.Pallbearers were Stanley Kittrell, Clint Kittrell, Michael Kittrell, Bill Wagner, Jim Lewis and Ferris Tate.
