Della Mae (sweet) Gossett Withers, 87, N. Hwy 1247 passed away Thursday November 14, 2002 at her residence.
She was born January 25, 1915 in Pointer, KY. a daughter of the late Manuel Sweet and Mary (Dick) Sweet. She was a homemaker and a member of Camp Ground Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Robert “ Bob” Gossett, Somerset, KY.; two daughters, Mary New, Muncie, IN. and Martha Mofield, Science Hill, KY.; two step-sons, Gene and Earl Gossett, both of Cadillac, MI.; one step-daughter, Irene Bounds, Knoxville, TN.; two brothers, Cleo Sweet, Greenfield, IN. and Willie Sweet, Georgetown, OH.; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her 1st husband, James W. “Bill” Gossett and her 2nd James Arva Withers; one son Sherman Jackie Gossett; two step-sons, Clarence and L. b. Gossett; 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Sunday November 17, 2002 at the Chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Brother Gerald Ashley and Brother David Muse officiating. Burial will be in Sweet Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6:00 P. M. Saturday November 16, 2002 and after 8:00 A.M. Sunday November 17, 2002 at the Chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.
