There is very little of record about this son and no one now livingremembers him. W.O., Susie, and Thomas J. were listed in the succesionpapers as minors at the time of their fathers death in 1885. Susie andThomas J. were still listed as minors at the time of their mothers deathin 1888.
In the list of Spanish American War Soldiers from Amite County,Mississippi, is : NUNNERY, Thos. J., Rosetta, Mississippi, 2nd Regt.Miss. Vol. (Co. D), Joined May 5, 1898, mustered out December 20, 1898.
It is thought he may have been living at this time with his olderbrothers, Napoleon and James, who each operated merchantile businesses inRosetta at about that time.
He may have died in the yellow fever epidemic of 1905 as did his brother,Napoleon, and his brother's little daughter, Verna. He either died at anearly age or wandered off to another part of the country and has not beenheard from again.
