12th and last Lord Falkoner of Halkerton from 19 March 1930 till 25 May 1966.
10th Earl of Kintore from 19 March 1930 till 25 May 1966, succeeded as Earl of Kintore by his sister Ethel Sydney Keith-Falconer, who became the 11th Countess of Kintore (suo jure).
Arthur George was educated at Eton between 1892 and 1895, he joined the Scots Guards in 1899. He was lieutenant, serving between 1900 and 1902 in the South African War. He was promoted to the rank of captain in 1914 and served in World War I. He was attaché to the British legation to Buenos Aires in 1907. He had no issue, and his titles, except that of Lord Falconer of Halkerton, passed to his sister and then to her eldest son.
He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902. He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Scots Guards (Special Reserves). He fought in the First World War. He succeeded to the title of 10th Lord Keith of Inverurie and Keith Hall on 3 March 1930. He succeeded to the title of 10th Earl of Kintore on 3 March 1930. He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Kintore of Kintore, co. Aberdeen on 3 March 1930. He succeeded to the title of 12th Lord Falconer of Halkertoun on 3 March 1930.
With the death of Arthur George Keith-Falconer the title "Lord Falconer of Halkerton" became dormant. This means that an heir is believed to be alive, but it is uncertain who the heir is. It has to be the senior "heir-male", meaning that all the senior male lines need to be proven extinct. In theory, the claimant would petition the Lord Lyon, King of Arms, for a grant of arms, claiming that he is the senior heir. Foreigners can receive grants of arms from the Lord Lyon, King of Arms, if they are the senior male-line descendant of a Scottish emigrant.
