Emigrated to southern Ireland and was probably the progenitor of the Goodes of Casey/Adair counties.
I have 2 clues for researching the Ireland Goodes. Marmaduke Goode made his will in England in 1678. He was the oldest son of Robert Goode and the brother of John Goode who settled at Whitby in VA. His will can be found on p26 in Waters Genealogical Gleanings in England. He states that his brother Thomas Goode was in Ireland.
In the book by Perrin, History of KY, p 863-64 there is a reference that a John Goode who was born in south Ireland migrated to the colony of VA. This book was written in mid 1880's and some of the grandchildren of this John Goode were still alive when the article was written. Perrin actually referenced some of these g.children. This family includes Fleming Goode who in his pension application tells about his father John Goode. John Goode, the immigrant from Ireland, also fought in the Rev War. ; Hope this helps in your research.
