FUNERAL OF MRS. MEAD
The funeral of Mrs. Harold R. Mead was held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Betz funeral home, the Rev. Roland S. Fredericks officiating. The bearers were Harry LaRose, Edward Jasheway, Marcelio Del Santo and Edward Briggs. The body was placed in the vault at Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill, where interment will be made in the spring.
Besides relatives and friends from Broadalbin, Perth, Cranesviile and the Town of Florida, the following attended from out of town: Gilbert Mead, U.S. Army, Fort Benning, Ga.; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Briggs, Johnstown; Mr.and Mrs. Edward Jasheway, Burnt Hills; Mr. and Mrs. George Baldwin, Unadilla; Miss Beatrice Stanton, Miss Barbara Montayne, Mrs, Anna Montayne, Schenectady; Mrs. Marion Wert, Ephratah; and Mr. and Mrs. Mryten Mead, Framingham, Mass. The Rev. Mr. Fredericks called at the funeral home Monday evening.
MRS. MEAD, AMSTERDAM, DIES AT 60
AMSTERDAM — Mrs. Anna Mead. 60, of 13 Clayton street died Saturday afternoon in Amsterdam Memorial Hospital where sihs had been a patient one day. She had been in ill health 14 years.
MBS. MEAD had lived In Amaterdam most of her life, coming here when a young girl from Poland, NY. She was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Harold R. Mead, died July 2, 1961. Surviving are three sons: specialist
fifth class Gilbert L. Mead, Ft Banning, Ga., Douglas L. Mead and Harold E. Mead, this city; two daughters. Mrs. Richard Litchfield, RD 4, Amsterdam, and Miss Margaret L. Mead, this city; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Brlggs, Johnstown, Mrs. George Baldwin, Unadllla, and Mrs. Edward Jasheway, Burnt Hills; nine grandchild
dren, one great-granddaughter; also nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the Betz funeral home, Rev. Roland S. Fredericks officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery, Tribes Hill.
