MRS. HOWARD H. OLMSTEAD
Mrs. Howard H. Olmstead, 65, of 1521 Rutger Street, Schenectady, died suddenly at her home yesterday following a heart attack. She was born in Oak Ridge, the former Maude A. Montanye, and had resided in Schenectady for the past 15 years.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. George Becker and Mrs. Ruth Burnett; four grandchildren, Beverly, Gretta, and Edwin Gratton and Beth Burnett,
all of Schenectady; and two sisters, Mrs. Myron Whiting, Canajoharie. and Mrs. Winfield McDuffee. St. Johnsville.
The funeral will be at 2 P. M. Monday in the Griswold funeral home, Schenectady, with the Rev. A. A. Pierce, pastor of Fisher Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Schenectady.
OLMSTEAD--MONTANYE
On Jan. 7, 1903, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Montanye, Oak Ridge, occurred a very pretty home wedding when their daughter,Maude,became the wife of Howard Olmstead of Charleston. About a hundred and thirty guests assembled to witness the ceremony.
At 12 o'clock the bridal party entered the parlor to the strains of the wedding march played by Mrs. Winfield MacDuffee. Mr. Ray Montanye, brother of the bride, acted as best man, and Miss Nellie Olmstead, cousin of the groom, as bridesmaid. Miss Jennle Montanye, sister of the bride, was flower girl, and the Rev. Ira L. Peck of Charleston Four Corners performed the marriage ceremony. The fair young bride wore a beautiful dress of cream white mohair, trimmed with lace applique and brilliants, and carried a bouquet of bridal roses. The ushers, Mr. Rial B. Veeder and Miss Lena Tillapaugh, Mr. Oakley Becker and Miss Mae Wessell, wore sashes of green and white, and the room was tastefully trimmed with the same colors.
After a bountiful repast was served, Mr. and Mrs. Olmstead departed amid showers of rice and good wishes for a trip to Schenectady and Albany, after which they will make their home with Mrs. Harvey Hamilton, near Charleston.
The bride received many useful and beautiful gifts, including a quantity ol table linen, dishes, silverware, lamps, clocks, pictures, bedspreads and rugs.
